Types of NESA Boys Scouts Scholarships in the US:
Following are the types of American Boys Scouts scholarship programs:
1# Lawrence S. and Mabel Cooke Scholarship:
Such scholarship is available for the scouts with remarkable performance in Scouting activities, community services, and active participation in the school. Only candidates with dire financial needs can apply for these scholarships. However, this scholarship was the initiative of Lawrence S. to honor his late wife, Mabel Cooke.
One scholarship of $48,000 for four years will be granted to the selected candidate. However, four participants will get selected for a $25,000 scholarship for four years. Meanwhile, another one will get a one-year $10,000 scholarship.
2# National Eagle Scout Association Scholarships:
Such sponsorship programs are funded by National Eagle Scout Association, Hansen & Mary Hall Scholarship Fund, Lester S. McElwain Eagle Endowment, & Rebecca Palmer Eagle Endowment. Only students with great academic potential, a history of participating in school and scouting activities, and extreme financial crises are eligible.
Meanwhile, two participants will get $5,000 scholarships for one year. However, one will get $3,500 as a scholarship reward for one year.
Eligibility Criteria for Boys Scouts NESA Scholarships:

- NESA Scholarships will be granted to the selected candidates only one time.
- Interested Eagle Scouts can apply for NESA scholarships in the senior year of their high school or the start of their undergraduate program.
- They can also apply for scholarships in the mid of their associate degree or skilled trade program.
- Eagle Scouts who are already enrolled or currently accepted in any accredited college or institution as full-time students can apply for the NESA scholarships. Meanwhile, the chosen program must lead to an associate degree or skilled trade program.
- Students enrolled in any of the USA military academies are not eligible for Boys Scouts NESA scholarships.
- Graduate students pursuing an MS or Doctoral degree cannot apply for NESA Scholarships.
- For Cooke’s 4-year scholarship program, the selected candidates must be enrolled as full-time students for four years in any college or university. However, the chosen program must lead to a BS degree.
Application Process for NESA Boys Scouts Scholarships:
Only the applicants who are a member of NESA can apply for scholarships via their online official application portal.

After this, a NESA scholarship application portal will be opened. If you are applying for the first time, click “New Applicant” and begin the application process. Then make your portal account and fill out the required fields with the correct information. If you want to make some changes to your application later, you can save it and get access to the scholarship application at any time via the received link. Once your application is final, submit it before the due date and wait for the results.
Application Deadline for Boys Scout Scholarships: January 31, 2024
Online applications for National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Scout Scholarships must be completed & submitted by January 31, 2024. Meanwhile, the NESA scholarship announcement will take place on June 9, 2024. However, Eagle Board Committee will review the application before February 24, 2024.
