1# Malmö University Scholarships in Sweden for Ethiopians

Malmö University is in Sweden. Founded in 1998, Malmö university quickly gained popularity due to its student-centered learning approach and a faculty of highly educated professors. The facility has a total of 24,000 Students, making it Sweden’s ninth-largest educational institute.  

Malmo University offers numerous degrees in the English language. A bachelor’s degree from Sweden University is three years long. 

Malmö University offers scholarships for Masters’s level for highly motivated students. Applicants can apply in any masters-level subject to avail of this scholarship.

Requirements of MUMS Scholarships:

Students of the European Economic Area (Switzerland) are not eligible to apply for Malmö University Masters Scholarships (MUMS). There are no significant requirements for MUMS but Documents such as research proposal, recommendations, study plan, statement of purpose, resume with cover letter, intent letter, motivation letter, and all academic degree certs.

Interested candidates need to provide a copy of their passport, and CV, and fill out an online application form for admission and scholarship at MUMS.

Applicants are not required to give IELTS or TOEFL. An equivalence of B/6 from a Swedish Secondary school in an English course or a Cambridge certificate is necessary for students who do not wish to give IELTS or TOEFL.

2# University of Queensland Scholarships in Australia for Ethiopians

The University of Queensland is a world-famous institute. It is known as Australia’s best research university, ranking at 54th position worldwide. UQ is a very prestigious university famous for its excellent grip on teaching excellence and graduate students’ success rate. 

The Admissions Acceptance Rate of the University of Queensland is 40%.
The admissions application fee for the University of Queensland is A$100.

The University of Queensland is offering Postgraduate coursework scholarships for international students to study the following programs:

Hammad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar (HBKU) is in the country’s capital, Doha. A newly founded institute, HBKU quickly gained popularity for being the second biggest university in Qatar. 38% of students in HBKU are Qatar nationals, while 62% of students are international students. HBKU is ranked 183rd among the best universities in the world by QS worldwide rankings of 2024.  

The Hammad Bin Khalifa University of Qatar offers numerous HBKU scholarships for students all around the globe at the bachelor, Master’s, and Doctoral levels.

The admissions Acceptance rate for HBKU University is 69%.
There is No admissions application fee at HBKU University.

HBKU Scholarship Sponsorship Coverage Package:

HBKU University offers fully-funded scholarships for its students. In addition to fully covering the tuition fees, the university also covers students’ flight expenses, and accommodation and also provides family accommodation for married students.

Once the student is accepted and admitted to a program of their choice, stipends are paid to the students according to their education level.

  • QAR 5000 or US $1,373 Stipend per Month for Bachelor Level students.
  • QAR 5000 or US $1,373 Stipend per Month for Master Level students.
  • QAR 7500 or the US $1,922 Stipend per Month for Ph.D. level students.

Eligibility Criteria of HBKU.

Students are exempted from taking IELTS or TOEFL exams if they have received their previous degree from a country with the English language as their first language. Students are required to complete their Secondary level education to apply to the bachelor’s program, a BS degree to apply to the Master’s program, and an MS degree to apply to Ph.D. level programs.

4# Newcastle University Scholarships in England for Ethiopians

Newcastle University is a public research institute situated in the UK, along with two other branches in Singapore and Malaysia. The NU is a red-brick university and part of the Russell group. It is a prestigious university, ranking 42nd in the Good University Guides 2024.

The admissions Acceptance rate for Newcastle University is 87%.
There is No admissions application fee at Newcastle University.

Newcastle University is offering 2 Vice-Chancellor’s scholarships to students for undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Scholarship coverage: fully funded. 

Eligibility criteria.

The candidate must be an overseas payer and an EU national. Scholarships are only for students who possess an acceptance/offer letter from NU.

5# Azerbaijan Government Scholarship for Ethiopians

The government of Azerbaijan is offering more than 400 scholarships for international students to study at Azerbaijani universities. The scholarships are for all higher education levels such as undergraduate, graduate, master’s, Ph.D., diploma, etc.

Scholarship coverage plan:

The Azerbaijan government covers 100% of tuition fees for the selected students. Other than that, the program covers additional expenses, too, as listed below. 

  • 100% tuition fees.
  • Accommodation.
  • Monthly stipend.
  • Medical insurance.
  • Flight expenses.
  • Registration costs.

The Azerbaijan scholarship covers all expenses of students to ease the burden on students, so they can fully submerge in their studies without having to worry about additional expenses. 

Age limit for Azerbaijan Scholarship:

  • A student must be 25 years old or under to apply to undergraduate and general medical programs. 
  • A student must be 30 years old or under to apply to graduate from programs and residence programs.

The University of Oxford offers Oxford Clarendon scholarships for students wanting to pursue higher education. This scholarship is restricted to Masters’s and Ph.D. levels only.

The admissions acceptance rate for the University of Oxford is 17.5%.
The admissions application fee of the University of Oxford is £75 per course.

Fully or partially funded scholarships are to be given to Ethiopian students. 

Eligibility Criteria:

Students can apply for the Oxford Clarendon scholarship for any subject they wish to choose. All international students can apply for this program if they wish to select a program from master’s or DPhil subjects. 

Postgraduate courses and diploma courses are not covered by the scholarship program.

8# University of Birmingham Scholarships for Ethiopians

The University of Birmingham is the top university in the UK. It is a founding member of Russell’s group of British research universities and was the first “red brick” university in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, it is ranked 105th as the best university in the whole world.

Admissions Acceptance Rate of the University of Birmingham is 13.54%

The University of Birmingham is very tough to get into, with an acceptance rate of 13.54%. In 2018, 5,440 applicants were accepted out of 40,175. 

To make it easier, the University of Birmingham is offering scholarships for all majors and degree levels including exchange programs and short courses; to accommodate more students and give a chance to international students a to avail the chance of getting outstanding higher education.

Applicants can apply directly to the admissions department of the University of Birmingham to get considered for any of their scholarship offerings.

Birmingham University Scholarship value:

Birmingham University covers full or partial tuition fee waiver, monthly stipend, book buying funding, experimental funding, or £3,000 each year by reducing fees.

The admissions application fee of Birmingham University is £50-150 for UK citizens; whereas there is no application fees for international students.

Eligibility  Criteria:

Candidates must be classed as overseas fee status. Students from the UK cannot apply for the scholarship.  Students must also have applied to any of the following:

9# Geneva Academy Scholarships for Ethiopian Students

Geneva Academy of International Law (GAIL) Switzerland has a reputation for having an excellent teaching staff focusing solely and remarkably on the student’s education quality.
