No IELTS Scholarship Admissions in British Universities:
The following universities offer UK scholarship opportunities for international students without the requirement of IELTS or TOEFL.
#1 The University of Plymouth, England Scholarships
Plymouth University International Academic Excellence Scholarship award is given to students that have a great previous academic performance. The Award value of this generous scholarship is a 50 percent fee reduction. Plymouth University Postgraduate International Student Scholarship is for international students studying in 2 years Master’s programs with an award value of €2,000.
The University of Plymouth now allows alternates of IELTS exams such as the Secure English Language Test SELTS instead of IELTS. International Postgraduate Platinum Scholarships are offered by the School of Psychology offers this scholarship for international students pursuing studies at the Master’s level. The Plymouth scholarship awards €4,000.
#2 Portsmouth University, England Scholarships
Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship is offered to undergraduate international students. The scholarship provides $2,175 yearly. Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship is another for undergraduates and master’s level international students for one year only. The scholarship awards $6,800 compensation in the first year.
Pre-sessional English language courses are offered as an alternative. The university provides several scholarship programs to help assist students. SEGG Scholarship provides a 50% fee concession for Masters’s level students for the applicant’s first year.

#3 Aston University, Birmingham Scholarships
Aston provides MBA Scholarships for skilled international and national students for two years. The scholarship award is a 50% fee reduction provided once a year for two years.
Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships are for Master’s level international students who have shown outstanding results in previous undergraduate degrees. The award amount for Aston University is $10,880 awarded once.
Another program is the Global Ambassador Scholarship which is for outstanding postgraduate students who will be the face of the international programs of the university. Winners of the scholarships are rewarded $4,080. Candidates studying internationally recognized qualifications or degrees equivalent to a UK Degree in the English Language do not need to take IELTS.
Deadline: Different rounds have different deadlines, all for September 2024 courses. The first deadline for application submission at the Aston University of Birmingham is 31 July 2024.
#4 Swansea University Scholarships
International Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship for master’s level students. The scholarship awards $8,160 yearly for two years to outstanding and talented students. Applicants in possession of an offer letter from the university are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The International Excellence Scholarship program award undergraduate students for their exceptional performance with a $4,080 award. Another program is the International Merit Scholarship program for undergraduate students. The award value is $2,720.
Applicants can take a pre-sessional English language course at Swansea’s English Language Training Services if they wish to skip IELTS or TOEFL.
#5 Northumbria University Scholarships
Northumbria Global Scholarships are for international undergraduate future students who need some assistance financially and/or are academically gifted. The scholarship provides $4,080 to up to 100 winners.
Undergraduate Sanctuary Scholarships are for international undergraduate students. The scholarship offers a $1,360 tuition fee waiver. You can renew the scholarship award for up to 3 years.
Pre-sessional English Language programs for candidates who do not wish to take IELT or SELTS.

#6 University of Sussex Scholarships
Chancellor’s International Scholarship is for students of engineering and business departments. International students of all on-EEA or EU countries can apply. Applicants must take and pass the pre-sessional English language courses if they wish to skip IELTS and IELTS.
The scholarship is for undergraduate students, and the award value is $6,799 per year. The time duration for this is 3 years.
Deadline: 1 August 2024.
Sussex Graduate Scholarship is given to applicants with outstanding academic performance, this scholarship opportunity is open to all international students. It is for Masters Students, and the value is $4,079. The time duration is 2 years.
Deadline: 30 September 2024.
#7 Sheffield Hallam University Scholarships
The University is on top of the priority lists of international students as it has revoked the requirement of IELTS. The University offers English Language courses for students who wish to skip IELTS.
Vice Chancellor’s Award is for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students. Its value is $4,079.The award is given to students of EU and EEA countries. External scholarships include Chevening Scholarships, Transform Together Scholarships, and more.

#8 Bristol University Scholarships
The scholarship programs include Bristol Global Scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The generous award value varies from $6,800 to $13,600, paid over the time period of 3 years.
Future Leaders Scholarships is for Master’s students already enrolled in the university. The scholarship awards the winners with a $6,800 to $13,600 tuition fee waiver. The Think Big Scholarship program is another program to assist undergraduate and postgraduate students. The think big scholarship is valued at $4,080 and renewable for up to 3 years.
Candidates can take pre-sessional English Language courses offered by the University as a substitute for IELTS.

#9 University of Bolton Scholarships
The University of Bolton has revoked the compulsion of IELTS for future students by offering Pre-sessional English Language courses and classes for international students who wish to skip IELTS.
Scholarship programs such as the Northern Powerhouse Kayan Scholarship are perfect for postgraduate and undergraduates, providing fully-funded tuition fees with a yearly stipend of $10,879.
The Northern powerhouse Racingstar Scholarship is for undergraduate students only, providing a half-tuition fee waiver with an additional stipend of $10,879 per year to cover living expenses. The duration is 3 years.

#10 London Southbank University Scholarships
International Merit Scholarship is for undergraduate and Master’s levels students and is a generous award of $5,440. This award is given yearly for up to 3 years. ONCAMPUS London South Bank Merit Scholarships are also well-known awards for undergraduate and graduate students. The scholarship offers a 25% fee reduction. Additional external scholarship programs include Benjamin A. Gilman International and BUTEX Scholarships.
The London Southbank University allows applicants with English language or literature in O/A/AS level with a minimum of grade C to skip IELTS. Secondary education in an English medium school with English as the mode of assessment and instruction is adequate proof of English proficiency. A Pre-sessional English Language course is also an option.
#11 British Chevening Scholarships Scholarships
British Chevening Scholarships are provided by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for international students. The scholarship is for Master’s level students with an exceptional undergraduate GPA.
The scholarship covers all expenses including full tuition fee expenses, monthly stipend, one-time airfare tickets, extra accommodation expenses, and visa fees, and also covers COVID-19 vaccination costs. Applicant must be fluent in spoken English, and IELTS or English language proficiency proof is not necessary.
#12 British Commonwealth Scholarships.
British Commonwealth Scholarships are provided by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. Applicants with secondary education or undergraduate degree in an institute with the English Language as the main medium of instruction or assessment do not need to provide any English proficiency proof.
The scholarship is for Master’s and Ph.D. students and the duration of the scholarship depends. The generous scholarship covers entire tuition fees, airfare ticket costs, study travel grants are covered separately, and a monthly stipend of 1,475 per month as well.
Rhodes Scholarships give 100 awards yearly to international and national applicants to maximize the exposure of the students. Pre-sessional English Language Courses can be taken by applicants who do not meet English language proficiency criteria or wish to skip IELTS.
Rhodes scholarship opportunity is for postgraduate students only. The scholarship covers all tuition fees for 1 or 2 years, providing an additional monthly stipend, covering healthcare and airfare costs and additional expenditures.

The GREAT scholarships are for Master’s level students. The program covers healthcare costs and provides airfare tickets (one trip and can only be availed once), and a tuition fee waiver of $13,599 yearly.
Applicants with secondary education or undergraduate degree in an institute with the English Language as the main medium of instruction or assessment do not need to provide any proficiency proof. Applicants from non-EEU countries are eligible to apply. Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in relevant fields and must have work experience.
